My heart goes out to you and your family Alston.

You are right about Alcoholism. It is a brutal disease for all who come in contact with it.

Thank you for doing what you did for your nephew and ultimately for your brother and yourself. You used your voice! All of you will remember that in some way and with hope in my heart, it will lead to change for them all. How courageous you were!

Thank you Susan. It's always scary to speak up. I need to stay connected to others in the program so I can get these reminders. Others outside the rooms may be angry with my actions but that doesn't mean I did the 'wrong' thing. Thanks for your support.

That is for sure.

This comment may not fit exactly in this situation, yet it may in others. I read recently in one of our books that ”when we show healthy self esteem, others may see it as selfishness”. I found that helpful, and hope you do too.
